I Am Infinitely Small

When boredom strikes, you end up on the roof of a parking garage watching the sunset with your closets friends talking about Jesus.

When I looked up at the pink sunset sky, I realized just how small I am compared to this Earth, yet God still cares about me and every hair on my head. Which is crazy. I am so small.

When I'm having a bad day, God is there.
When I'm lost, God is there.
When I'm having a good day, God is there.
When I end up on the roof of a parking garage, God is there.

He cares about me, and he cares about you too.
You are so tiny when it comes to the big picture, but He still loves you and wants to know you.

xoxo,
Rachel

Society

These days, society puts down young women for just being who they are. As a part of a photography class I'm taking, I decided to explore the thinking of some of my friends.

I asked them to think of a word that describes a quality they have that they admire in themselves. This alone was a challenge, as no girl wanted to come off sounding self-absorbed.

When they finally chose their words, I then asked them to think of another word that society and the people around them would use to describe that same quality in a negative way. This part was a little bit easier.

They wrote their words on sheets of paper, and I took their portraits. Here they are...
